I am Sujith and welcome to myFIREinvesting. If you are here, you probably feel the same way I did when I first started: you know you need to build wealth for your future, but the world of finance feels unnecessarily complicated, intimidating, and full of noise.
I created this space to change that.
I didn’t start with a trust fund, and I certainly didn’t have a safety net. When I began my journey, I had exactly $2,000 in my bank account and zero financial backing from my parents. I was on my own, and I had to learn everything from scratch. In those early days, frugality wasn’t a lifestyle choice—it was survival. I had to pinch every penny just to make ends meet while I taught myself the basics of money management. I made mistakes, I learned hard lessons, and I slowly built my foundation brick by brick.
Fast forward to today, and life looks very different. I am proudly self-sufficient, a milestone I achieved with the incredible support and partnership of my beautiful wife.
I want to be honest with you: I am not the “eat only rice and beans” guy anymore. While I could technically save more if I went back to that extreme frugality, I’ve learned that the journey to FIRE shouldn’t make you miserable. Today, I prioritise small luxuries and enjoying life in the present over squeezing every possible cent into a savings account.
I believe in a balanced approach—building a secure future while still enjoying the coffee, the travel, and the moments that make life worth living today.
Over the last 20 years in the tech industry, I’ve built a career navigating complex systems and solving difficult problems. But while my 9-to-5 paid the bills, my true passion was mastering the markets. I have been consistently investing for the past 15 years. Over that time, I noticed a recurring theme. Friends, family, and colleagues would constantly reach out to me for advice. They were smart, successful people, yet there was a massive gap in their basic financial knowledge.
I built myFIREinvesting to share the roadmap I wish I had when I was staring out my journey. I am here to help you avoid the mistakes I made and to show you that you don’t need to be a Wall Street expert to build a life of freedom.
